SJSU Wrestling Archives Russel David Lockwood                           (From 1978-79 Season...) A returning reshirted Spartan, Russel David Lockwood is a senior with 40 career wins coming into the 1979 campaign. He will wrestle at 126-pounds this season. Russ is 40-28 at SJSU including 6-7 (1975), 18-8 (1976), and 6-12 (1977). He came to SJSU from Monte Vista High in Spring Valley, California, where he wrestled for Coach Bill Clauder and was league champ, 2nd in the San Diego Section of the CIF and 3rd in the California state meet. A three year SJSU scholar athlete, he is a solid B+ student with a business management major and a political science minor. He was 118-pound PCAA champ for the Spartans in 1977.
