He was named runner-up to Phil Lanzatella of St. Lawrence (New York). Morrison won the California state prep title last year while attending Leland High. After making the starting squad at Sparta this year, he tallied an impressive 22-16-1 record before taking the PCAA Chmapionship at 190 pounds and qualifying for the NCAA's. -jh-
