SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 3-3-37                   Wrestlers Meet Utah Friday           Another championship opponent will offer competition to the undefeated Spartan wrestlers this Friday evening when the SJS lads play host to the University of Utah, who by virtue of an all-Rocky Mountain conference last week, are the best of that area. Coach Pete Couch will bring a band of veterans bolstered by four championship holders who are led by the intercollegiate title winner of last year, Karl Schleckman, who will meet either John Jones or Sam Della Maggiore in the headliner for the evening. The other Utah tile holders will be in the 145, 165, and 175 pound classes. Even with the great showing so far this year, the Spartans will go into the fray as underdogs because of the 23-13 defeat suffered at the hands of the boys from Salt Lake in last year's intersectional jaunt.
