SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 3-24-41                   Matmen Annex Fourth Place In PAAU Meet           Coach Sam Della Maggiore's injury-ridden wrestling team wound up in fourth place at the Senior PAAU tournament last week in San Francisco, as the Spartans could only muster three uninjured men to compete. The Olympic Club won the team title. Ivan Olsen, current Far Western titleholder, won his second major title this season in the 134-pound class. Olsen has been undefeated this year, and was the only Spartan to capture an individual title in this meet. Carl Kuhl (hwt) won third place, and Dave Kawamoto (145) won fourth. Dave Hines, the other Spartan Far Western champion, failed to enter because of an old injury. Freddie Albright, former college wrestler and captain of the 1940 championship soccer team, now competing unattached, won third place in the 134-pound class. Albright is Far Western champion at 128 pounds.
