SJS Matmen Finish Sixth

| The Spartan wrestling team ended its season over the weekend by grabbing a sixth place in the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate
Championships. |

| At the top of the heap for the sixth straight year was Oregon State, victor over SJS in an earlier dual meet. |
| |
| The sixth placing, of 16 teams entered, was a notch above the seventh ranking achieved by the Spartan grapplers
last year. |

| Art Beatty (137) accounted for a fourth place in the tourney as did Bill Harm (167) and heavyweight Don Anderson. |
| |
| In dual meets, the team had a good season, winning eight while dropping five. This was the last year of competition
for John Lim (130) and Cliff Olsen (167). |

| The squad will be reactivated in the middle of October in preparation for next season's San Jose State Invitational. |
