Coach Grattan's wrestlers will definitely meet the Olympic Club tomorrow night in what will be a preliminary to
the student body dance.
The Olympic Club, which next to the University of California outfit, is the strongest club on the coast, will bring
down an exceptionally strong team to meet an equally strong Spartan squad.
The lightweight matches, with Fiebig, Olivarri, and Puckett participating, are expected to be closest events of
the evening. Fiebig will meet Grant Bennion in the 125-pound division. Olivarri is scheduled to tangle with Jenson,
135 flash. Henry Puckett, 118-pound champion, will meet a much improved De Augustini in what should prove to be
the best match of the evening. In three previous meetings Puckett has defeated DeAugustini twice and received a
trouncing once at the hands of the San Francisco wrestler.
Carlton Lindgren, who has been turning in a sweet bit of wrestling in practice, will meet John Bennion in the 145-pound
clash. The Bennion brothers, John and Grant, are dominant factors in both the 145-pound and the 125-pound division
throughout the Bay Area.
The Olympic Club is offering no competition in the heavyweight class, thereby forfeiting that event to SJS.
The meet is scheduled to being in the small gym at 7:30. |
