SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 2-26-36                   Wrestlers Meet San Mateo JC Tonight           Out to avenge the defeat of last season when the San Mateo Bulldogs sent them down to an 18-16 defeat, 11 SJS wrestlers will go into action at 7:15 tonight in the Spartan Pavilion. The addition of Gene Hill to the State ranks to oppose Glidden of San Mateo at 142 pounds completes the lineup of matches that will feature the evening's meet. The first string wrestlers, with the exception of Bruce Allen and George Wenglein, will view proceedings from the sidelines as coach Grattan is giving the boys a rest in preparation for the coming Far West tournament to be held in Berkeley on March 13. Favored to reverse last year's decision on the Junior collegians, the Spartans are, however, expected to be extended to the limit by SMJC's coach Lee Basset's aggregation.
