Wrestlers Meet Strong Northern Teams Tomorrow

Coach Hugh Mumby's talented matmen embarked yesterday afternoon for two important matches against Oregon State and Washington State.

The Mumby men joust with OSC at Corvallis tomorrow night, and may match winning streaks with the Cougar grapplers on Saturday night.

WSC and the Spartans were co-holders of the Pacific Intercollegiate championship last year. SJS has won seven straight dual meet victories this season, which, coupled with alike number of wins from last year, adds up to 14 straight successes for the locals. The Washingtonians also are experts in the win-streak department, possessing a victory record of 18 straight.

Captain Joe Tiago, Dave Leslie, Dick Francis, and Bob Roebuck have yet to meet defeat thus far in the Spartan outings. Coach Mumby listed his traveling lineup as Kay Toyota (115), Joe Ross (123), Joe Tiago (130), Jack Cassedy (137), Pete Herder (147), Leslie (157), Joe Thornley (167), Francis (177), and Roebuck (hwt).
