Matmen Seek Win Tonight Against SFOC

Coach Hugh Mumby's varsity wrestlers will tangle with the San Francisco Olympic Club tonight at 8:00 in the McKinley
Elementary School in Sunnyvale.
The Olympic Club recently won the Pacific Athlete Association and the tournament at the San Francisco YMCA. San
Jose was runnerup in the tourney.
Lineup for the Spartans is Kay Toyota (123), George Lao (130), Ron Stingley (137), Russ Utley (147) Gus Talbot
(167), Dick Francis (177), Lee Baxter (191), and Dick Fleeger (hwt).
Tonight's matches will be judged under Olympic rules.
SJS' Dick Francis, PCI champ in the 177-pound division, will be making his second start of the season under Olympic
rules. He will try to revenge a split decision loss handed him by the Olympic Club's Jim Connors in the PAA tournament. |
