SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 2-22-54                   SJS Wrestlers Place Second In Tourney           The San Jose State wrestling squad grappled its way to a pair of second places and a third spot Saturday afternoon to gain runnerup position in the Pacific Athletic Association mat tournament at the San Francisco YMCA. The Spartans were topped by the San Francisco Olympic Club for the second straight year. Pacific Coast collegiate king Dick Francis made his first start of the year under Olympic rules and was awarded third place in the 177-pound class after dropping two split decisions, one to Jim Connors of the OC and another to NCAA finalist Frank Marx of the Berkeley YMCA.
