Matmen Face Olympic Club Here Tonight |

| Fourteen wrestling bouts are scheduled for tonight's "Big Meet" between Coach Ted Mumby's Spartan mat
squad and the strong and highly touted Olympic Club wrestling team. The first match is set for 8:00. This is the
final home appearance of the season for the Spartans. The WInged O squad is bringing along several champions including two National champions. They are Doc Northrup, who is the NAAU title holder in the 165 pound class, and Frank Miller, who took the Junior National title. They have several other local champions including W. Houghton, who is an ex-PCI 155 pound title holder, and J. Poulos, who is an ex-Far Western heavyweight champion. The feature match of the evening should be between team co-captain Hans Weidenhofer and Frank Miller, the Winged O Junior National champ. Weidenhofer won the 175 pound title in the Pacific Intercollegiate championships in 1942. Another interesting duel will be between Pat Felice and the NAAU champ Doc Northrup in the 165 pound class. |
