Matmen Meet YMCA Tonight |
||
| Coach Gene Grattan is in for a busy evening tonight, with matches scheduled for both freshman and varsity teams
in San Francisco. The varsity meets San Francisco YMCA, while the freshmen tangle with San Francisco Junior College. Loss of team captain Fortune Masdeo for tonight's matches will seriously impair the varsity's chances of winning the meet. Masdeo has been called home because of his mother's serious illness. Grattan may be forced to forfeit the 145-pound match Gabe Velez, Masdeo's alternate, is also out, with a sprained ankle Tentative varsity lineup for tonight's matches is Sam Della Maggiore (hwt), Bob Riddle (175), Vic Gorin (165), Mel Bruno (155), Bob Langen (145), Jack Fiebig (135), Bob Norona (128), and Con Lacy (121). |
