Grapplers Win Over Indians |

| Grappler heavyweight Ray Lychack lost his first match of the season after three straight victories, as both the
varsity and freshman Spartan teams topped Stanford Wednesday. The varsity won 18-14 and the Spartababes won 15-12. Varsity winners were Roy Kusumoto, Ted Kaphengst, Art Beatty, and Loren Miller. Freshman winners were Vaughn Imada, Walt Armijo, and Rich Popejoy. Coach Hugh Mumby said he was especially pleased with the performance of Art Beatty who "pinned his man in short order." The varsity travels to San Francisco State Monday where they will face the Gators in a 7:30 pm encounter. |
