SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 2-19-52                   SJS Wrestlers Second In AAU           After placing second in the Senior AAU wrestling meet Saturday at the Alameda Naval Air Station, coach Ted Mumby and his Spartan matmen were pointing to the Feb.29 Far Western meet at the Oakland YMCA. The Olympic Club piled up 61 points to eliminate the Spartan grapplers' chances of taking the novice, junior, and senior AAU mat crowns in the same year. Mumby blamed his 49 point second place show on the fact that John Jackson and Johnny Melendez were absent from Saturday's competition.
