Wrestling Squad Enters Strong Biola Tourney

| Coach Hugh Mumby's Spartan wrestling team will travel to La Mirada this weekend for the Biola Invitational Tournament,
Saturday Feb. 13. |

| Mumby will take the varsity team and three or four frosh grapplers to one of the best tournaments of the season. |

| Over semester break, the grapplers participated in the San Diego Open. "As a team, we didn't place very high,
but we had some good individual performances," said Mumby. |

| Terry Kerr, 149.5 pounds, placed third among 25 others in his weight class. He defeated the number one man on the
Mexican national team. Dean Cabral placed fourth in the 125 pound class. He is a new transfer from San Jose City
College. |

| "Dean had an excellent performance for a newcomer," said Mumby. |

| Ron Wright went four rounds before being defeated while Gary Pederson lasted three rounds. |
