SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 2-1-38                   Mat Men To Face Olympic Club           Gene Grattan's wrestling team is in for the time of it's life this week. All they have to do is face the Olympic Club of San Francisco Friday evening, and coach Grattan frankly admits that this will be just about the toughest job his boys will have to do this year. The Olympic matsters have formulated a habit of defeating the Spartan Grapplers, but it may be different this season as Grattan's group had demonstrated that it can hold its own in any competition. A partial schedule has been released which will keep the locals busy all this month. On February 11th, State meets Oakland Athens Club in a return engagement here. The following Friday the team travels south to meet UCLA. February 25th finds Sparta's wrestlers competing against California in the season's "Big Game". Then on March 4th and 5th, the Far Western championships are scheduled.
