SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 11-4-54                   Spartans Host Mat Tourney           San Jose State will again be host for the 8th Annual Bay Area Novice Wrestling Tournament Saturday morning in Spartan Gym. Weigh-ins are slated for 9 am, with the matches scheduled to follow at 10:00 and continue until 4:00, according to coach Hugh Mumby. SJS has won the meet every year but one, and ended in a tie. The encounter has been staged all eight years in the Golden Raider gym. Coach Mumby expects to enter 16 men in the tourney, which is limited to novice wrestlers who have won a first, second, or third place in open competition above the high school level.
