SJS To Host PAA Wrestling On Saturday 

 
     
  San Jose State will host the Pacific Athletic Association Novice Wrestling Tournament Saturday with nine teams and numerous individuals entered to date.

Spartan coach Hugh Mumby will enter 21 men in the competition. Other teams that have filed entry are Stanford, California, San Francisco State, San Francisco Olympic Club, Santa Clara, and the YMCAs of Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco.

The tournament is open to anyone who has not won a first, second, or third place medal in an AAU meet. Competition will be held in the 115, 123, 130, 137, 147, 157, 167, 177, 191, and heavyweight pound divisions.

Preliminary matches will be begin at 10 am Saturday and will continue on through the afternoon, according to coach Mumby.

Wrestling in Saturday's tournament will be held according to Olympic rules. A point system will determine the winner rather than an elimination basis.
