SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 10-9-41                 Wrestlers Begin Practice           Coach Sam Della Maggiore and San Jose State's wrestling team are not letting any grass grow under their feet. Every afternoon in the small gym you will find them grunting and goraning in preparation for their title defense. Last year, coach Maggiore took over the wrestling team and took them through the season undefeated and to the Pacific Intercollegiate title. This year they hope to acoomplish the same feat. Graduation has taken its toll but many of last year's squad will be returning with several promising new members registering this year, states Maggiore. The first match for the wrestling team will come in the early part of the winter quarter. Besides dual meets with leading teams in intercollegiate league, the Spartans plan to participate in several tourneys.
