SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 1-6-60                 Grapplers Tiff Tonight In Opener    San Jose State College varsity wrestlers will open the 1960 dual meet wrestling campaign against Adams State College of Colorado tonight at 7:30 in the wrestling room of the Men's Gym. Thus far in the young mat season, the Spartans placed eight men in the 13th annual Pacific Association AAU Novice Wrestling tournament, including three champions. In the Spartans' only other outing, they took third place in the 3rd annual SJS Open Wrestling Tournament. Mat coach Hugh Mumby has named the following tentative lineup for the meet: at 130 pounds either Dave Nevis or Bob Lopez, Dick Alderson (137), L.D. Bennett (147), Jerry Nelson (157), Fred Yrueta (167), Bernie Slate (177), George Hewitt (hwt). General admission for the event is $1, with students being admitted for 50 cents.
