Wrestlers Prep For All-College Meet Tomorrow

Ready to embark on one of the greatest schedules ever attempted, San Jose State's wrestlers are now prepping for the all-college tournament Thursday night.

Pressing the veterans for team positions are Sam Della Maggiore and John Jones, heavyweights, Frank McGuire (175) and Carlton Lindgren (145). All four are showing remarkable early season form and will probably be seen in the finals of the team tourney.

Glen DuBose, football captain-elect, will be benched until he has completely recovered from a knee injury.

DuBose finished last year's season as the first team heavy and reached the finals in the Far Western tournament at Berkeley.

Jack Fiebig, PAA champion, is expected to wrestle in the 125-pound class and Henry Puckett, a new member of the team will take care of the 118-pound class. Puckett learned his wrestling with the local YMCA and San Jose High School, and at one time held the Northern California YMCA championship.

George Wenglein will wrestle in the 155-pound class again this year and Melvin Rush, another veteran, is moving up into the 165-pound division.
