Stanford Matmen Host SJS Squad |

| Coach Ted Mumby and his varsity and junior varsity wrestlers travel to the Farm today, where they will meet Stanford
in a dual meet. Mumby believes his squad should win, but he is not so sure of victory when he scans his injury list. Ralph Morroco, 157 pound mat star, and Tom Payne, Sparta's top 130 pound grappler, are definitely out of the Stanford meet. Al Cadena, veteran 191 pound matman, may also miss the Indian match. George Lao, winner of the Northern California Junior 125 pound wrestling title at Berkeley last Saturday, will represent the locals in the 130 pound bracket, Mumby said. Joe Thornley will replace Morroco in the 157 pound division. The remainder of the Raider wrestling lineup as announced by Mumby includes Kay Toyota (115), Joe Ross (123), Johnny Jackson (137), John Melendez (147), Frank Waxham (167), Jim Van Houten (177), Cadena or Hal Bristow (191), and Jean Snyder (hwt). |
