SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 1-22-42                   Wrestling Schedule Still Indefinite           With the schedule still indefinite due to the dropping out of club team members, the 1942 edition of the varsity wrestling team continues to work out nightly in the little gym in preparation for its opening matches, which are not too far off, states coach Sam Della Maggiore. Because of the war, the club teams which had originally been scheduled withdrew in most cases due to lack of material, and this leaves only the college teams on the coast active. Matches with Nevada University, UCLA, and others are now being arranged, states Della Maggiore. Also they are still planning to make the trip to the national tournament in Lansing, Michigan, and will enter the 2C2A tourney to be staged at Fresno.
