SJS Matmen Meet Indians Here Tonight

With two tournament victories and one dual meet win behind them, Coach Hugh Mumby's Spartan wrestlers are favored
to remain in the undefeated class when they meet Stanford tonight in the Spartan Gym. The first match is scheduled
for 8 o'clock.
SJS teams won the novice PAAU tournament in November and captured the junior PAAU tournament Saturday for the seventh
time. In their one previous dual meet, the Spartans defeated the University of California, 20-15.
Coach Mumby announced his wrestlers for tonight's matches as Kay Toyota (123), Joe Tiago (130), Dan Gonsalves (137),
Pete Herder (147), Dave Leslie (157), John Jagger or Ray Thomas (167), Dick Francis (177), and Bob Roebuck (HWT).
For the Indians, coached by Don Williams, the lineup will be Steve Gee (123), Oliver Lyons (130), George Russell
or Jim Hutchinson (137), Bruce Daily (147), Ken James (157), Jack Ogelsby (167), Pat Madden, and Phil Wilson (HWT). |
