State Will Meet Junior College Wrestlers

Hoping to repeat the performance the wrestling team turned in against the San Francisco YMCA Friday night when they swamped the club team 28-3, coach Gene Grattan is preparing the State squad to meet San Mateo Junior College her Friday night at 8:00.

Sam Della Maggiore, who kept out of last week's fracas because of an injured knee, is expected to be in shape and will be a welcome addition and added strength to the Spartan heavyweights.

The peninsula junior college is comparatively a darkhorse group, but usually has a few highlights that would force the San Jose matmen to exhibit the power shown in defeating the Y squad.

Carlton Lindgren, of radio fame, has returned to the fold and should, with Sam Della Maggiore, complete the true strength of the team roster. Jack Fiebig has yet to meet any stiff competition and coach Grattan hopes to see San Mateo present a man in Fiebig's division who is capable of pressing the PAA champion.

Henry Puckett, however, has passed the acid test in defeating the clever and experienced Erich Diebels of the city Y who was unmolested in his championship climb to PAA heights last year.
