| The Pirates finished a close third to San Jose, which won the meet, and the University of California, which finished

| Modesto notched 41 points in the tourney to Cal's 43 and the Spartans' 48. |

| San Jose rests its main hopes on three weight divisions. Ali Alley is strong at 130 pounds and Warren King and
Cliff Olson are potential winners in the 147 and 157 classes, respectively. |
