SJSU Wrestling Archives The Spartan Daily 1-12-62                   SJS Varsity Matmen To Grapple San Diego           San Jose State varsity wrestlers see their first action of the new year tonight when they tangle with San Diego State College at 7:30 in the mat room of the men's gym. Coach Hugh Mumby's frosh grapplers meet Travis Air Force Base at 4:00, also in the Spartan mat room. The match, originally scheduled for yesterday, was postponed until today. Warren King will compete for the varsity in the 147-lb class in place of the injured Leroy Stewart. Stewart is out for the season due to recent aggravation of an old neck injury. Others competing for SJS are Dave Armstrong (123), Frank Paoni (130), Bob Lopez (137), and Cliff Olson (157). Also competing are Fred Yrueta or Jack Proctor (167), Ron Ruscigno (177), and George Hewitt (hwt). The Spartans defeated San Diego State in a dual meet last season.
