| Coach Lucas vs. John Bennett at the 2003 Veterans Freestyle World Wrestling Championships, Budapest, Hungary. Coach Lucas earned a 5th place at this year's FILA World Championships. Had he won against his Soviet opponent in his last match, he would have been in the gold medal match. Coach Lucas has been a Top Ten Placer at the FILA World Championships since 1997. Coach Lucas won the AAU Ironman World Championships in 2002. | |||||||||||

| Coach Lucas was a three-time All-PCAA wrestler at SJSU 1972-74. He currently wrestles at the Masters level and is a five time Masters All-American and World Championship placer. Most recently he guided Harbor High School to its first league championship in school history. He was a charter inductee into the Ironman Surfing/Wrestling Hall of Fame. | |||||||||||
