(From 1981-82 Season...)
Another of the local kids on the 1982 Spartan wrestling roster, Ken is a freshman from Leland High School. Under the tutelage of coach Brian Ganz at LHS, Ken wrestled at 98 and 105 pounds. Coach Kerr feels Ken will continue to grow for a couple of years before reaching his potential, "He could possibly be a upper-middle weight before he graduates." Last year he placed 1st in his league, took the title at regionals, was runner-up at the CCs championships, and qualified for the state tourney. Ken, representing the California Team, also place 5th in the Junior Olympics. Named Most Outstanding Wrestler at LHSm he compiled an overal record of 61-14. A business major, Ken hopes to enter into private business upon his SJSU graduation. Besides wrestling, he lists beer can and baseball collecting as hobbies. Kenneth Gary Brison was born 11-9-63 in Buffalo, NY.

(From 1982-83 Season...)
Ken is one of two Leland High School products. His senior year while still coached by Brian Ganz at LHS, Ken was league champ, regional champ, and runnerup in the Central Coast Section which qualified him for the state meet. He represented the California team in the High School Nationals held in Iowa, and also placed fifth in the Junior Olympics. Ken was named most outstanding wrestler at LHS en route to an overall record of 61-14. Says coach Kerr, "Ken has the frame to be a solid upper-middle weight before he graduates." Ken has already gained noticeable size and strength since the end of last season and is constantly lifting and working hard on gaining size. This scrappy sophomore saw limited mat time last year and compiled a season record of 5-4. A business major, Ken hopes to someday own a business.

(From 1983-84 Season...)
Coming off a redshirt season dedicated to gaining size and strength, Ken is looking forward to seeing some mat action this year at 142 pounds. From Leland High School in San Jose, Ken's senior year was outstanding as he took his league title, was a regional champion, and took runnerup honors at the CCS championships. He was named outstanding wrestler LHS , and finished his prep career with a 61-14 slate. He has gained noticeable size after his first two years at SJSU according to coach Kerr.
